“Bodhichitta is love, compassion, and wisdom.
With compassion, look to sentient beings.
With wisdom, discover your nature.
We want to have efficient compassionate activity.
Efficient compassion must be guided by wisdom.
Without wisdom, compassion could become emotional and blocked.
Therefore compassion must be guided by wisdom - it is smart and practical.
Compassion alone could be blocked, dull, emotional, and hindered, and even if you start something very special, it could become stuck. That is due to a lack of wisdom about how to take care of compassion.”
